Concrete Poem: The Fire Flower

 

 

 

I heard on the

radio a forest

fire in my

town I rushed

down to see what

it was about

I saw something

shimmer on the

edge of the

wood as I

got closer

and there I

stood a

marvelous thing

flickering in the

daylight a

fire flower

but no one believed me

I went home

and told my

mom it’s just

a flower but

I knew she was

wrong
